Literature Text

The past, present, and future or should i say future, past and present, are all existing at the same time, like a river –– we would see it as flowing, constantly moving in a certain direction, instead look at it as though it is frozen, and everything is in it's place in time. The future already is in place as is our past, which still exists. The present being our "now moment" although an endless variety of "now" moments are occurring from the start until the end.

Time does not move or flow, it is us who move through it, as though it was a tunnel. Time is based on perception, what we perceive to be true is our reality, and according to that -we are at a certain point in time. We consider our life as from birth to death, when really we already exist in the future, just as we are still happening simultaneously in our past, we have just moved over that point in time. Perception could very well be, if not solely be -- an illusion. Depending on our state of mind, altered states, visual ability and sight, atmosphere, surroundings, feelings, thoughts, sensations etc…what we see and believe to be true can change in an instant, If any of these things are adjusted, I believe the same to be true for time. If your surroundings were to change, your state and thoughts would catch up to it, your now, could therefore be in the past or in the future, what is to say that those memories you remember so vividly, are not kept alive by the fact they are still happening while you are thinking about them? You are being born, conceived, your father is meeting your mother, your great, great, great aunt is smiling at a stranger, world war one is being set in motion, dinosaurs are roaming the earth, all this is happening at the same time as now. The same goes for the future. This is where we find our billions of years worth of memory. To be born with what we call 'instincts', our bodies work in a specific way without any of our help, it's like our internal memory mattress, leaving our evolution and pivotal lessons as a footprint. There are footprints behind us, and in front of us and in every which way. Every location that could be used, and every thing that could happen in any of these spaces, is on this frozen river of time, and all of it is happening now. Time just exists, everything is already in existence, the book has already been written, and we are all on different pages, living the story in our perspective "nows".

An example of entropy used to explain common occurrences in time and why there seems to be a direction forward–– if you are holding a book in your hand, all the pages are numbered and are all in a certain order, if you were to rip all the pages out and throw them up in the air, you will have a huge mess- disorder. Why? because there is only one way in which this book will have order, and a trillion ways it can have disorder, so things go from order to disorder in life, since it is a lot more plausible. Natures tendency to progress to disorder, as time goes by more and more disorder occurs. This meaning that the past, the first ever moment, being the most ordered state of the universe. Perhaps this is nothingness- complete order, before the big bang/ a higher beings creation etc… Without things happening, time wouldn't be meaningful or even measurable. Events are what makes time, time, once the end of time comes, it would be the end of existence, back to nothingness, events would cease to exist or have existed.

I am going through a reading phase at the moment, and I am reading on a lot of things that interest me, time and space being one of them. I understand things more when i put them into my own words, and then little theories and ideas pop up while i think about them, that actually make a lot of sense.

It is interesting but in many religions they have Gods that translate to mean "Time" the Greeks, Cronus... Some Vedic sects have "Kal" The Mayans were obsesses with keeping time. Many Hindu sects have pretty much given everything a time span (yuga)... But isolating time is not so easy to do.  Along similar lines the philosopher Renes Descartes attempted to prove he existed, he concluded "I think therefore I am"... Not really an answer but best way to intellectual answer it i guess... It is also interesting that many systems deal with conscious realities that go beyond the spheres of time. We only understand time from this conscious perspective. So the concept of something being Timeless is almost paradoxical to our current idea of reality.

"Time just exists, everything is already in existence, the book has already been written, and we are all on different pages, living the story in our perspective "nows"." - this pretty much sums up the concept of "Null free will" according to the concept, as everything has already happened your ability to change it is Null... Shakespeare even touched upon this "We are actors on a stage"
